Weekly camps/workshops are for children ages 4 to 18, run each day in the summer months and are focused on many mediums. These camps are not oriented toward crafts. The goal is to expose children to as many mediums as possible in a week's time while allowing for lots of experimentation within the children themselves. As always, there is Art History with many of the projects. Each child works at their own pace so there is no pressure to slow down or speed up for the group.
These classes are designed to give children the chance to develop their imagination through age appropriate fun two and three dimensional projects. Projects will include modified clay, collage, drawing, acrylic, watercolor paints, and printmaking while also learning art history as many of the projects are related to the master artists of the past and present.
These classes are designed to develop technique as well as self-expression while using the same mediums as the younger classes. These classes are a transition to the more independent format of the high school class.
These teens are given the opportunity to work on whatever skills, techniques and mediums they so choose. Students are encouraged to come to class with a folder and or sketch book with ideas on what they would like to study. Often these children work toward building portfolio with specific lists of projects that will fulfill the requirements for college admittance. There however many teens who attend these class are there to express their creativity, learn about themselves, refine techniques and to have fun.

This camp is for ages 5 and up, who are interested in the visual arts. This year the children will be encouraged to use everyday things as part of their art work. Let's all dig into our junk boxes or start a collection box at home of old or broken things like clocks and mixers, anything you might throw or give away including shoes and clothing. Children will be encouraged to work on an old piece of furniture from home. It could be a chair or foot stool. Activities include sculpting, printmaking, modified clay, painting, drawing and mixed media.
The camp is designed to give young artists the opportunity to explore a variety of new techniques in a safe environment where there can be no mistakes, since these are their own personal works of art. Each day will bring new excitement with age appropriate projects, which will develop and enhance artistic skills. The projects will be both 2 and 3 dimensional in nature, leaving the artist feeling successful, enriched and educated in art history.
Also included in this camp will be the very popular study called "What's In The Box". Remember that holiday you gave your child an amazing gift and they spent the whole day playing with the box that gift came in? This camp is design to tap into that side of our children's mind.
Endless supplies of all things fun like pipe cleaners, masking tape, buttons, spools and so on will be made available to you children so that they can create a wonderful environment out of a box. It might turn out to be a zoo, doll house, hospital, castle or good old GI Joe stuff. Children are group by age.
